FAVRE BULLE

W.W. I - FRENCH MILITARY AIRCRAFT CLOCK

All I know about this watch is due to its dial, Favre Bulle of the French aviation. I have seen a couple in a collection in the United States. There is practically no information about the airplanes of the First World War.

Photographing machines were very limited and there are no pictures of the interior of airplanes.

It was probably built around 1915 and is composed by a pocket watch adapted to an aluminum case and was part of some airplane’s cockpit.

The movement has a small barrel with provide power for one day, 15 jewels, and is marked DOXA.

It has two more marks, we can see them in the last pictures, an arrow going through an apple, and a cross with a number.
